Pierre et Jérome Coursodon – L’Olivaie 2016 – Saint-Joseph

The nose is fruity / aromatic, fleshy, elegant and offers concentration. It reveals notes of crushed boysenberry and crushed blueberry combined with small notes of vanilla, strawberry as well as touches of small blue fruits, camphor, Sichuan pepper, gray pepper and violets. The palate is fruity, juicy, mineral, well- balanced, elegant, precise and offers an acid frame, a small tension, suavity, roundness, a beautiful grain, finesse as well as a fine freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, blueberry and small notes of black cherry associated with small touches of crushed raspberry, racy minerality, camphor, minerality, gray / Sichuan pepper as well as discreet toasted hints / cocoa. Tannins are fine and elegant.
