Fattoria Nicodemi – Le Murate 2016 – Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 

The nose is aromatic. It reveals notes of wild red berries, wild raspberry and flowers associated with small notes of racy minerality, grove / laurel bay and discreet hints of blackberry. The mouth is fruity, suave, slightly tight, well-balanced, precise and offers fat, a beautiful definition, a beautiful minerality a very slight unctuosity, elegance, gourmandise, a beautiful suavity, harmony as well as a fine and slightly tight. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, ripe / crushed red berries and small notes crushed raspberry associated with small touches of cassis, flowers as well as discreet hints of olive, discreet toasted hints / vanille and a very discreet hint of almond (in the background). Tannins are fine and a bit chewy. Good length.
