Robert Mondavi – Fumé Blanc 2015 – Napa Valley

The nose is fruity, gourmand, elegant and offers freshness. It reveals notes of lemon, fresh apple and touches of flint associated with slight touches of exotic fruit / lychee as well as an imperceptible touch of white flowers / grapefruit. The mouth is fruity, aerial, and offers a slight unctuosity, a beautiful delicacy / gourmandise, a beautiful finesse, tension as well as a beautiful fat (bâtonnage). On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe lemon, ripe pear and slight notes of juicy Granny Smith apple combined with touches of exotic fruits (lychee, quenette, subtle papaya) as well as subtle / very discreet toasted touches (in the background). Good length and beautiful persistence (touches of flint). Beautiful gourmandise on the finish.
