Del Dotto Caves – Caves Blend 2014 – Napa Valley

The nose is spicy and fruity. It reveals notes of blackberry, wild strawberry and cassis combined with touches of Sichuan pepper, Zan as well as a subtle touch of tobacco and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a slight juiciness, a slight suavity, a good structure as well as a slight acid frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy red berries and strawberry associated with slight touches of toasted oak as well as a very discreet hint of mocha (in the background) and tobacco. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
