Cardinale – Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 – Napa Valley

The nose is fruity, aromatic and offers gourmandise, a beautiful finesse, a beautiful harmony as well as a slight concentration. It reveals notes of blackberry cream, wild cassis and strawberry combined with slight notes of wild fruits, violet, toffee / brown sugar, subtle touches of cardamom as well as touches of spices and nutmeg.The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful juiciness / gourmandise, a slight tension, straightness, a nice roundness, a beautiful definition, harmony, a beautiful acid frame as well as a good matter and density. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy / juicy blackberry, plum and blueberry associated with discreet touches of ripe / fleshy redcurrants, slight touches of raspberry as well as subtle touches of caramel, wood, cardamom and subtle touches of fresh / crunchy hazelnut. Tannins are elegant. Good length and persistence. There are slight touches of dark chocolate on the persistence. Beautiful suavity and gourmandise on the finish.
