Vérité – La Muse 2006 – Sonoma

The nose is aromatic, elegant, delicate and offers complexity as well as a slight intensity. It reveals notes of cassis and blackberry associated with slight touches of strawberry, black cherry, blue fruits, undergrowth as well as a subtle / imperceptible touch of gray pepper and mushroom / truffle. The wine nees to be decanted. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, a slight unctuosity, a beautiful precision, a beautiful fat, a slight acid frame (acidulous red fruits), depthness, minerality as well as a beautiful, delicate and silky matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy strawberry, juicy fleshy raspberry and slight notes of blackberry, redcurrants associated with discreet touches of cassis, black cherry, violet / blue fruits, subtle hints of mushroom, undergrowth as well as a discreet touch of mocha, tobacco, red earth (on the finish) and truffle. Tannins are fine and slightly firm. Beautiful length. An outstanding wine!
