Jean-Pierre Bailly – Les Blanches 2016 – Pouilly-Fumé

Jean-Pierre Bailly – Les Blanches 2016 – Pouilly-Fumé

The nose is aromatic and offers a slight intensity, a fine fleshiness as well as a very slight freshness. It reveals notes of apple, citrus and white flowers associated with small hints of zests. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy, well built, harmonious, slightly « perlante » (slightly sparkling sensation on the attack), a bit gourmand and offers fat, a beautiful mineral frame, elegance as well as juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of apple, crushed pear and slight notes of nectarine associated with slight touches of lemon, quenette, flint, clementine as well as a discreet hint of flowers (in the background). Good length.
