Castello di Cacchiano 2010 – Chianti Classico Riserva

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a small concentration / intensity. It reveals notes of blackberry, wild berries, redcurrant and small notes of cocoa, vanilla bean associated with small touches of spices, blueberry, a discreet hint of garrigue / thyme as well as an imperceptible hint of Cuben pepper and flowers. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-built and offers a slight minerality, a beautiful acid frame, a slight suavity, roundness, a slight gourmandise, a very slight tension as well as a good definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, ripe / juicy red currants and small berries associated with slight touches of blueberry, crunchy red cherry, garrigue as well as a discreet touch of cocoa. Tannins are well-built and slightly chewy. Good length.
