Conti Capponi – Villa Calcinaia 2014 – Chianti Classico Riserva

The nose is aromatic, fruity and juicy. It reveals notes of cassis and small notes of strawberry, ripe / fleshy red berries associated with a subtle hint of violet, a subtle toasted hint, a subtle hint of garrigue / grove (in the background) as well as an imperceptible hint of olive and cocoa (in the background.) The palate is fruity, juicy, silky, elegant, well-built, beautiful defined, precise and offers a slight acid frame (in the background) as well as a slight freshness. In mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy / juicy cherry and small notes of blueberry, crushed strawberry combined with small touches of chocolate, toasted oak, vanilla as well as a subtle hint of sweet tea / spices. Tannins are chewy.
