The nose is aromatic and offers a good structure as well as slight freshness / minerality. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, crushed cassis and slight notes of crushed wild strawberry combined with hints of raspberry, gray pepper, spices as well as a very discreet hint of flowers. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, slightly powerful and offers a pretty acid frame, a slight minerality, suavity, fleshiness as well as a slight juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry, juicy / ripe cassis and slight notes of wild raspberry associated with a hint of redcurrant, a slight touch of black pepper, caramelization, Zan / licorice, tonka bean as well as very discreet toasted hints, almond and a subtle hint of minerality almost saline on the finish. Tannins are well-built and very slightly firm. Good length.
