Hyde – N°5 – Single Grain – Burgundy Cask Finish – Irish Whiskey 

(Limited Edition. Triple Distilled. Non-Chill Filtered) The nose is fine, powerful, tight and offers intensity as well as a fine sweetness / roundness. It reveals notes of sandalwood, mandarin zest and dried lemon combined with fine touches of red berries, potpourri, heather / rosewood, Zante currant purée as well as subtle touches of spices, anise, pepper, flowers and a very discreet hint of peat. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, aerial, well-built and offers roundness, a good definition as well as a nice guideline. On the palate, this Irish Whiskey expresses notes of candied apple and sandalwood combined with fine notes of heather, peat, lychee / exotic fruit, red fruits / plum as well as a hint of caramel, liquorice, anise, a subtle hint of minerality, tobacco and an imperceptible touch of chocolate / cardamom (in the background). Good persistence. The persistance is relatively powerful (caramel, anise).
