Château Filhot 2015 – Sauternes, 2ème Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, fine and offers a fine complexity as well as a fine intensity. It reveals notes of dried orange, flowers, spices, kumquat and peach combined with fine touches of crystallized lemon, honey, apple as well as a very discreet / imperceptible hint of mirabelle plum, caramelized sugar and an imperceptible hint of pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers unctuosity, a fine straightness, a good definition, roundness, a fine acidity, elegance as well as a juicy frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crystallized lemon, crunchy flat peach and small notes of candied white fruits combined with a touch of floral, citrus, honey and toasted brioche. Good length.
