Château Lamothe de Haux – Valentine par Valentine 2014 – Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is aromatic, finely powerful and offers concentration. It reveals notes of wild cassis, blackberry, wild strawberry and flowers associated with touches of spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a nice mineral frame, a fine definition, a fine suavity, a fine unctuosity, tension, a small aerial side, and a fine concentration. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, crushed cassis, cherry and fine touches of wild red berries combined with touches of toasted oak, mocha, Zan as well as a very discreet hint of cardamom and an imperceptible hint of hazelnut on the finish. Tannins are fine and very slightly firm. There is an imperceptible hint of coffee / bitterness on the finish / persistence.
