The nose is relatively fresh, relatively aromatic and offers richness. It reveals notes of blackberry associated with fine notes of cassis, undergrowth as well as hints of toasted oak, a very discreet hint of caramelization, sweet spices, nutmeg and an imperceptible hint of Sichuan pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, silky and offers a nice mineral frame, a nice definition, volume, fat, a nice suavity, a good structure as well as a fine / discreet acidity (in the background). In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, crushed cassis and fine notes of raspberry, small ripe / crushed red berries combined with touches of zan / licorice, toasted oak, cardamon as well as a subtle hint of vanilla and sweet spices. Tannins are well-built. Good length. Good persistence.
