The nose is fruity and offers a fine concentration. It reveals notes of cassis, Boysenberry and a slight note of cassis bud associated with a hint of crushed raspberry, licorice / zan as well as discreet hints of wood / toasted oak, chocolate and a very discreet hint of pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers a fine acid frame, a fine concentration as well as freshness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry and crushed cassis combined with fine notes of fleshy Gariguette strawberry, ripe cherry and licorice / zan, toasted oak / vanilla, chocolate and a very discreet hint of spices. Tannins are fine and a bit firm / dry. Good length.
