Fugue de Nénin 2012 – Pomerol

The nose is fine, concentrated, spicy and finely powerful. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, ripe wild strawberry and fine notes of wild blackberry, fleshy wild berries associated with hints of wood, violets as well as subtle touches of Sichuan pepper, spices, toasted oak, a hint of grilled oak and an imperceptible hint of espresso (after aeration). The palate is nicely fruity / juicy, well-balanced, silky and offers a nice matter, a fine mineral frame as well as a fine gourmandise. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy / crushed cassis, crushed blueberry and fine notes of juicy red berries, fleshy raspberry combined with touches of concentrated blackberry, toasted oak as well as subtle hints of cocoa, gray pepper and violet. Tannins are fine and well-built. The finish is relatively powerful.
