Domaine du Clos D’Alari – Grand Clos 2012 – Côtes de Provence

The nose is relatively aromatic and offers power. It reveals notes of crushed wild blackberries, strawberry and garrigue combined with fine notes of cassis, olive and licorice as well as hints spices and a very discreet hint of black pepper. The palate is fruity, silky, well-balanced and offers a fine juiciness, a mineral frame, a fine acidity / juiciness (in the background), a good structure, a certain finesse as well as fat. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy strawberry, fleshy raspberries / berries and fine notes of blackberry combined with a touch of juicy plum, black olive as well as a very discreet touch of garrigue and licorice / cola. Tannins are well-built. Good length and good persistence.
