The nose is fruity and relatively fine. It reveals notes of cassis jam and dark cherry associated with slight hints of crushed boysenberry as well as discreet hints of sweet spices and dark chocolate. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-defined, elegant and offers a slight mineral frame, a slight acidity, a certain finesse as well as a slight freshness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry jam, crushed cassis and slight notes of plum associated with hints of chocolate, licorice and very fine/imperceptible hints of menthol (on the finish) as well as discreet hints of spices and a subtle hint of almond. Good length.
