Agricola Brandini – Filari Corti 2014 – Nebbiolo – Langhe DOC

The nose is powerful, aromatic and offers a slight minerality as well as a slight richness (in the background). It reveals notes of graphite, cassis and Sichuan pepper associated with small notes of violet, blueberry as well as discreet hints of garrigue/olive tree (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a slight mineral frame, a slight juiciness, a beautiful minerality, straightness as well as a good structure. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of ripe raspberry, cassis and slight notes of plum associated with discreet hints of garrigue, Cuben pepper, woody hints as well as subtle hints of coffee on the finish. Tannins are well-built as well as slightly firm and racy. Good length. This wine needs to be carafed.
