Quinta do Noval 2008 – Douro

The nose is aromatic and elegant. It reveals notes of blackberry, grilled oak and slight notes of wild fruits associated with hints of mocha, tobacco as well as a discreet hint of grey pepper. The palate is fruity, mineral, fresh, well-built and offers a mineral frame, a beautiful finesse, powerful, generosity, a nice fat, a beautiful roundness as well as a beautiful silky, fleshy and gourmand matter. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry cream, fleshy Quetsche plum and slight notes of red berries associated with a hint of raspberry as well as touches of chocolate, grilled oak and slight notes of spices. Good length and persistence.
