Beautiful dark purple red colour with purple hue. The nose is fruity / aromatic, gourmand, relatively fleshy, fineley powerful and offers elegance, a beautiful finesse, complexity and a fine concentration. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, fresh/ripe wild strawberry and a hint of fresh/ripe berries associated with a discreet touch of crushed cassis as well as slight notes of spices, mocha (in the background) and a subtle hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced, finely fat, finely powerful and offers a fine tension, suavity, minerality, a good finesse as well as a good, silky and slightly unctuous matter. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh/ripe Boysenberry, fleshy cassis and fresh red berries, a touch of wild strawberry associated with slight hints of toasted oak, cocoa / tonka bean as well as a discreet hint of caramelization, wood, a very discreet hint of pepper and a subtle hint of sweet spices. Tannins are fine, well-built and finely chewy. Good length and persistence. The aftertaste is relatively powerful, gourmande and reveals slight notes of caramelization / toasted hazelnut.
