The nose is relatively aromatic, fine, elegant and quite powerful. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and slight notes of small wild berries associated with discreet hints of red fruit, a discreet hint of spices, slight hints of Sichuan pepper, oak as well as a hint of cardamom and liquorice. The palate is fruity, mineral, racy, full, suave, fat, finely gourmande and offers a nice acid frame, freshness, a good volume as well as a silky matter. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackberry, crunchy wild strawberry and slight notes of cassis, sour cherries combined with hints of liquorice, toasted wood and discreet notes of sweet spices. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length and nice persistence. On the finish there are slight iodized hints. The persistence is suave and reveals a (very) discreet hint of caramelization and of liquorice.
