Palato do Côa – Reserva 2012 – Douro

Palato do Côa – Reserva 2012 – Douro

The nose is aromatic. It reveals notes of menthol, cassis and more discreetly blackberry, olive associated with a hint of oak and chocolate. The wine needs to be decanted (carafe). The palate is fruity, slightly gourmand and offers a slight mineral frame, fat and a small suavity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, plum jam and slight notes of cassis associated with hints of liquorice, toasted oak, soft spieces and a discreet hint of vanilla. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
