(Wine from the second half of the 19th century, around 1860. Bottled in 2015) The nose is fruity, gourmand, suave, rich and aromatic. It reveals notes of caramel, tobacco and tarte Tatin associated with fine notes of citrus (orange …), figs, walnuts as well as slight spicy notes and an imperceptible hint of dried apricot. The palate is fruity, elegant, delicate, straight, suave, nicely fleshy, nicely fat, gourmand and offers a beautiful acid frame, sweetness, a nice finesse and a beautiful definition. In the mouth this Very Old Port expresses fine notes of lemon and mandarin marmalade associated with fine touches of caramel, tobacco, dried fruit and a discreet note of mocha. Good length and beautiful persistence.
