Ramos Pinto – 1983 Vintage Porto

Ramos Pinto – 1983 Vintage Porto

(Magnum) The nose is fruity, full, gourmand and elegant. The nose is a bit closed. I advice to aerate this Port wine before enjoying. It reveals notes of cassis pie and a hint of strawberry associated with fine hints of recurrant, blackberry, cherry as well as hints of tobacco. The palate is fruity, gourmand, velvety, unctuous, relatively fleshy and offers a beautiful definition, an acid frame, a fine freshness as well as a nice fruit. In the mouth this Port wine expresses notes of cassis pie, blackberry and red fruit jam (strawberry) combined with slight notes of cigar / tobacco, cherry as well as slight notes of hazelnut (very discreet). Good length and persistence. Nice balance between sugar and acidity.
