The nose is fruity and juicy. It reveals notes of juicy cassis, blackberry and plum associated with touches of cardamom as well as hints of sweet spices / toasted oak. The palate is juicy, well-balanced and offers richness, precision, a beautiful definition of fruit and fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and juicy Quetsche plum associated with slight touches of liquorice, discreet toasted hints as well as a very fine hint of cardamom, vanilla and a discreet hint of caramelized sugar cane. Tannins are fine and slightly dry.
