Martha Clara Vineyards – Merlot 2014 – The North Fork of Long Island

The nose is fruity, relatively gourmand and offers a small concentration. It reveals notes of red fruits, blackberry, oak associated with a toasted touch and a fine note of cherry. The palate is fruity, relatively gourmand and offers freshness, a good structure and minerality. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of plum and slight notes of cherry associated with a small / discreet note of raspberry as well as small notes of toasted oak and a discreet hint of cocoa. Tannins are well-built. Good length and persistence. There is a small hint of salinity on the finish.
