Niepoort 1977 – Garrafeira Porto

The nose offers a certain elegance and a certain finesse. It reveals notes of red fruit jam, very ripe strawberry, slight notes of caramel as well as slight notes of spices and oak. The palate is fruity, fresh, elegant, mineral, relatively rich and offers fat, roundness, a fresh frame and suavity. In the mouth this Porto expresses notes of caramelized orange and slight notes of nougatine associated with slight woody notes, spices, very ripe strawberries as well as a hint of red fruit jam and slight/discreet note of dried fruit (in the background). Good length and persistence.
