Champagne Krug – Grande Cuvée – Brut

(base 2005) The nose is powerful, fine, aromatic and offers a beautiful elegance and a nice complexity. It reveals notes of white peach associated with a few fine notes of citrus (lemon, clementine), fine notes of clementine zest as well as slight notes of lychee, flowers, honey, hazelnut and pâtisserie. The palate is bright, fine, ample, precise, elegant, fruity, rich, well built, lively and offers a small acid frame. The effervescence is dynamic, elegant and offers a beautiful finesse. On the palate this Champagne expresses notes of citrus and lemon associated with slight notes of mandarin zest, white peach and slight notes of lychee, apple, spice, marzipan, almond and flowers. Good length and persistence.
