The nose is fruity, racy, finely powerful and offers elegance. It reveals notes of wild red berries and strawberry combined with hints of garrigue / laurel, cherry / cassis as well as subtle touches of spices, Sichuan pepper and a very discreet hint of violet. The mouth is fruity, juicy, racy, beautifully-built and offers a beautiful suavity, gourmandise, a fine straightness, a small fat, a small unctuosity, a small freshness as well as a beautiful grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy raspberry and small notes of cherry, juicy cassis associated with fine touches of violet, black cherry skin, toasted oak, chocolate as well as discreet hints of garrigue, sweet spices and an imperceptible hint of crushed hazelnut (in the background). Tannins are fine and (very) slightly chewy. Good length.
