Clo’ Clotilde Pain, Rouge 2022 – Chinon

Clo’ Clotilde Pain, Rouge 2022 – Chinon

The wine has a bright ruby color. The nose is fragrant and offers a pleasant herbaceous and floral notes. It expresses aromas of wild mint (see menthol), violet, wild rose and blackcurrant leaf, harmoniously enveloped in the aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, blueberry, morello cherry) and red fruits (strawberry, raspberry) and highlighted by a limestone mineral touch. The palate is juicy, round and fluid, with a tannic finish (with grippy, but fine tannins). It expresses notes of blackcurrant, crushed blueberry, strawberry, morello cherry and raspberry, as well as a floral touch of violet, wild rose, iris and a fine herbaceous touch (blackcurrant leaf, wild mint). The acidity is lively and salivating. The finish is fruity, moderately persistent and expresses a delicate bitterness.
