Champagne Pierre Legras – Monographie 2012 – Chouilly, Grand Cru – Brut

(disgorgement: 11/2019) The nose is fruity, racy and offers finesse. It reveals notes of fleshy apple, fresh pear and small notes of lemon, white flowers associated with a touch of fleshy white nectarine as well as a subtle hint of juicy quince. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy and offers an acidulous frame, juiciness, tension, finesse, a good definition as well as an incisive side (but all in precision). The effervescence is very fine, dynamic and offers gourmandize and elegance. On the palate this Champagne expresses notes of juicy / fresh green apple, crunchy white nectarine and small notes of lemon associated with touches of zest, fresh apricot, racy minerality, fresh almond as well as a subtle hint of almond blossoms and lemon mesocarp. Good length.
