Perticaia 2024 – Olio Extra Vergine di Oliva (Umbria, Italy)

The nose is elegant and racy. There are notes of small concentrated yellow pearshaped tomato, ripe pineapple tomato and small notes of candied eggplant, associated with fine hints of flowers, lemon blossom, as well as fine hints of grilled zucchini and discreet, almost mimosa-like hints. The palate offers a lovely fatness, creaminess, with a fine freshness (in the background) and a varietal character (as a guideline). On the palate, this olive oil expresses notes of small, crushed yellow pearshaped tomatoes, fleshy cherry tomatoes (red) and small notes of zebra tomatoes, combined with touches of laurel leaf, fresh/varietal herbs, as well as a subtle hint of almost apricot. Well-built and defined.
