Château Malescasse 2023 – Haut-Médoc, Cru Bourgeois Excepionnel

Château Malescasse 2023 – Haut-Médoc, Cru Bourgeois Excepionnel

The nose is fine, woody and sappy, but with delicacy and subtlety. It expresses the aromas of pine needles, fine floral (violet, rose) and spicy hints (vanilla, nutmeg, licorice), associated with tangy and juicy fruits (red cherry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry), as well as with a pleasant minty touch. The palate is supple on attack, with slightly dry and firm tannins, but well structured and sapid. We find the same flavors of morello cherry, blackcurrant, red cherry, vanilla, licorice and violet, as well as touches of chocolate, cocoa and morello cherry in chocolate on the finish. Good length, freshness and acidity. A well-constructed wine, with a flovorful volume, juiciness and finesse.
