Matthias et Emile Roblin, Origine 2020 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers aromas of fresh red fruits (red cherry, wild strawberry, red currant, crushed raspberry), roasted red cherry, a touch of dried cherry, associated with notes of licorice, white pepper, as well asa floral touch of rose, lily and a herbaceous touch of mint and tomato leaf in the background. We also find slightly smoky and meaty notes. The palate is gourmand, fruity, juicy, slightly smoky on the attack. It also expresses the flavors of bigarreau cherry, strawberry, crushed raspberry, red currants and a fine bitterness of cranberries, associated with floral (rose, a touch of violet), herbaceous (a touch of tomato leaf and wild mint in the background) and slightly spicy (white pepper). The tannins area bit grippy in the mid-palate, but have a fine texture. The finish is tangy, fresh, salivating, sapid and quite persistent. A wine with beautiful freshness, structure and accuracy.
