Dumnacus Vignerons, 2021 – Saint – Nicolas de Bourgueil

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is fragrant, gourmand, but reserved and delicate. It expresses notes of red cherry, crunchy strawberry, tangy raspberry and elderberry, combined with fine notes of crushed blueberry, dried mint, tomato leaf, as well as a delicate spicy note (white pepper, nail cloves in the background). We also find fine floral notes (dried violet) in the background. On the palate, the wine offers a fruity, juicy and straight attack. It expresses notes of tart red cherry, a hint of crushed blackcurrant, fresh raspberry, strawberry, as well as the acidity and slight bitterness of cranberries, associated with herbaceous touches (tomato leaf, dried mint), floral (violet) and a fine spicy side, which completes the bouquet (white pepper, nutmeg, oregano and its smoky side). Beautiful acidity, which brings a lot of freshness. The finish is rather persistent and juicy. A straight, fruity, gourmand wine, with lots of vivacity.
