Dartigalongue 1994 – Bas-Armagnac

(Bottled : Juin 2020. 40%) The nose is elegant and offers delicacy, subtlety, a small (well-mastered) power, finesse as well as gourmandise. It reveals notes of quince, orange marmalade and small notes of crushed apple associated with fine touches of caramelized peach, peach flowers as well as hints of dried fig, Zante currant, discreet hints of tea, cedar, crème brûlée / pâtisseries and an imperceptible hint of almond. The palate is elegant, beautifully defined, full of finesse, well-balanced and offers a fine suavity, juiciness as well as a small sapidity. On the palate, this Armagnac expresses notes of crystallized lemon, crystallized quince and small notes of juicy peach peach associated with small touches of mandarin, dried white grapes, Brugnon, hints of lychee as well as very discreet hints of caramelization / pâtisseries, dry oak and toasted. A hint of vanilla on the persistence. Good persistence. A beautiful Armagnac full of elegance and balance!
