Clos des Jacobins 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru Grand Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, fruity and offers delicacy in its power as well as a lovely finesse and intensity of the grain. We find notes of boysenberry, raspberry and small pulpy/bright fruits associated with touches of pepper, cypress, hints of fresh clove/fresh nutmeg as well as a discreet hint of bergamot and mocha. The palate is fruity, balanced, distinguished and offers freshness, minerality, good definition, accuracy, a mineral framework, a certain gourmandise as well as finesse in its richness and power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, creamy cherry and small notes of pulpy/fresh blackcurrant associated with touches of cornflower, small blue fruits as well as hints of Bourbon vanilla, chocolate and a subtle, almost sappy hint (in the background). Power, elegance and race of limestone. Suppleness and delicacy.
