Château Dalem 2017 – Fronsac

The nose is aromatic and offers gourmandize. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry and ripe / crushed wild strawberries combined with small notes of ripe / crushed red berries, mocha, liquorice as well as a very subtle hint of blueberry / lily, touches of caramelized oak and hints of Bourbon vanilla. The palate is fruity, racy, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a fine juiciness, an acid frame, tension as well as a fine suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, black cherry and small notes of ripe / crushed red berries associated with touches of minerality, mocha, slight touches of zan as well as an imperceptible touch of pepper (in the background), saline minerality and vanilla on the finish. Tannins are fine, well-built and slightly firm.
