Château Chereau 2015 – Lussac Saint-Emilion

Château Chereau 2015 – Lussac Saint-Emilion

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic and offers nice complexity and a little evolution. It expresses notes of fresh and dried red and black fruits (red cherry, Morello cherry, fresh strawberry and blueberry, dried raspberry, dried blackcurrant, a touch of dried cranberries), crème de cassis, a delicate herbaceous side (blackcurrant leaf, fresh peppermint, rosemary), spicy (licorice, white pepper, cumin, nutmeg), cocoa, as well as very subtle tertiary notes (undergrowth, mushroom). On the palate, the wine is velvety, and supple, it offers melted, but still present tannins, well-structured and a bit grippy. It expresses the concentrated and juicy flavors of ripe red and black fruits (morello cherry, black plum, blackberry, blackcurrant, blueberry, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis), crème de cassis, a sweet touch of prunes in chocolate, cocoa powder, as well as dried herbs (dried mint, dried rosemary), soft spices (liquorice, cinnamon, white pepper) and a fine touch of forest flor. The finish offers freshness, fine spiciness and nice acidity. Beautiful structure and complexity on the palate.
