Châeau Soutard 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

Châeau Soutard 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

Lovely elegant, radiant nose which offers a lot of purity, gourmandise, depth as well as a nice elegance/finesse, infusion side. Nice expression, suave and “sexy” side of Cabernet Franc. It reveals notes of Bigarreau cherry, violet and slight notes of camphor associated with touches of small roasted fruits, cornflower, bright/pulpy blue plum as well as hints of graphite, fresh lily, bergamot/ blue tea, maceration/infusion (all with mastery and precision), with discreet hints of sweet spices, cherry blossoms, blond tobacco and fine iodized/racy hints. How beautiful limestone is in all its finesse! The palate is fruity, nicely balanced and offers superb freshness, minerality, a juicy/tangy frame, delicacy, suppleness, beautiful definition as well as suavity. The fruit is rightly highlighted by the tangy and woody notes. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh cherry, fresh/acidulous blue plum and small notes of cornflower associated with touches of bright/fresh small red fruits, lily, star anise as well as hints of pulpy redcurrants /tart, bergamot/infusion as well as discreet saline hints, fresh licorice stick, lilac, nutmeg and sweet spices. The tannins are elegant, racy and polished. Nice smoothness and sapidity on the finish/persistence. A powerful, racy, elegant wine, full of precision, freshness, tangy and silky. Congratulations !
