Châeau Larmande 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

Châeau Larmande 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

Lovely fresh, elegant, racy nose which offers a fine varietal side as well as a very fine peppery side. We find notes of Bigarreau cherry, fresh flowers (lily, iris, etc.) and more slightly – pulpy Boysenberry associated with touches of small, bright red fruits as well as hints of fresh sap and discreet hints of ‘spices. The palate is fruity, balanced, nicely racy and offers freshness, minerality, a juicy/fresh structure, smoothness, fat, a little coating/suave side of the fruit, tension as well as a nice energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulp blackberry, bright raspberry and small notes of roasted cherry associated with touches of star anise, small dense/fresh black fruits, graphite, camphor, cardamom as well as hints of fresh flowers/fresh sap, with fine hints of fresh blond tobacco and a subtle saline hint (in the background). The tannins are supple, elegant and suave. A little chew and powdery-gourmet sensation on the finish/persistence.
