Céleste, Le Temple de Tourteyron 2020 – Médoc

The wine has a deep ruby color, with purple reflections. The nose offers lots of freshness and juiciness of ripe fruit, with a pleasant tanginess. It expresses notes of juicy wild blackberry, crunchy black plum, ripe morello cherry, crushed raspberry and strawberry, combined with notes of violet, lily, wild mint, rosemary, as well as a subtle spiciness (licorice, ground black pepper, coriander seeds, clove neck), as well as touches of roasted bouquet garni and coffee in the background. After aeration, we find a subtle resinous note of pine sap and fresh pine needles. On the palate, the wine offers a fruity and airy attack, juiciness associated with structured, a bit grippy, tannins, but with a fine texture. The flavors are generously fruity, but fresh, combined with a salivating acidity. The wine expresses notes of morello cherry, tart red cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry, blackcurrant, as well as minty and resinous notes of pine sap, pine needles, wild mint, a delicate spiciness (licorice, clove) and a floral touch (violet, lily). The finish is fruity and offers notes of very ripe black plum, as well as a good bitterness. A balanced and pleasant wine.
