Carpineto 2012 – Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

The nose is aromatic, tight and offers power, concentration as well as a small gourmand side. It reveals notes of fleshy wild strawberry, fleshy redcurrant, toasted notes, almond, chocolate and crushed raspberry associated with touches of undergrowth as well as slight hints of vanilla, olive as well as an imperceptible touch of racy minerality. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a slight acid frame, finesse, a small straightness, a slight tension, juiciness as well as a slight depthness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe / juicy redcurrant, cherry pit, juicy raspberry and small notes of juicy blackberry combined with slight touches of cassis, chocolate, vanilla, slight toasted touches, almond as well as an imperceptible hint of garrigue (in the background). Tannins are structuring, very slightly firm and medium grain.
