Roger & Didier Raimbault – Sancerre – 2022

Roger & Didier Raimbault – Sancerre – 2022

The wine has a pale lemon-yellow color with green reflections. The nose is aromatic, mineral, fresh, precise and chiseled. It expresses pronounced mineral, saline and iodised notes, accompanied by aromas of citrus fruits (zest of lemon, lime juice, grapefruit, but without bitterness), green apple, as well as white flowers (apple blossom, honeysuckle, a sweet touch of acacia), as well as a herbaceous touch. On the palate, the wine offers a frank, saline mineral attack and an aromatic mid-palate, with a certain roundness. We find the flavors of ripe citrus (lemon, lemon zest, grapefruit juice), crisp green apple, white flowers (apple blossom, acacia), as well as a subtle sweetness of white peach. The acidity is lively and refreshing, the finish is long, savoury, with the minerality and salinity that we find throughout the tasting.
