Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux 2022 – Margaux

Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux 2022 – Margaux

The nose is elegant, aromatic, harmonious, delicate and offers fullness, precision, depth of freshness, a nice infused side or even concentrated freshness as well as a very fresh side. It reveals notes of ripe/fresh blackcurrant, fresh pepper and small notes of small black berries associated with touches of camphor, cardamom, small fresh red fruits as well as hints of toast. A nice contribution of press wines. The palate is fruity, elegant, balanced and offers minerality, amplitude, harmony, a melodious side as well as a lovely richness in elegance and mastery. It is a tasting in breadth, power and delicacy with a nice multi-layered side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberries, small creamy black fruits and more slightly spices brought by the Petit Verdot associated with nicely velvety/textured touches as well as hints of cardamom, dark chocolate, small roasted red fruits, concentrated blue berries, bergamot and a discreet hint of vanilla. Nice work on the good bitters and a little grilled side in the background which brings elegance and persistence. Beautiful freshness! Presence of a discreet eucalyptus side in the background as much on the nose as on the mouth.
