Paul Aegerter, Réserve Personnelle, Pernand-Vergelesses 2021

The wine has a pale lemon-yellow color. The nose is fragrant and offers slightly sweet notes of ripe fruit, as well as fine spicy, delicately oaky and floral aromas. It expresses notes of ripe lemon, orange zest, quince, a touch of tangy exotic fruits (green mango, passion fruit) and fresh apple, as well as notes of sweet spices (vanilla, walnuts nutmeg), toasted hazelnut (in the background), white flowers (fresh field flowers, dried lime blossom), a hint of mint, dry tea leaf and honey. On the palate, the wine is expressive and offers a certain roundness as well as complexity and freshness. We find notes of fresh and candied citrus fruits (fresh lemon, grapefruit, citrus jam), a touch of quince and green mango, white flowers (field flowers, dried lime blossom), tea leaf, mint, as well as a hint of honey, wet leaves and wax (in the background). The finish offers a refreshing acidity, a delicate bitterness as well as a hint of sweet spices on the finish (nutmeg, clove).
