Nicolas Lecompte 2021 – Châteaumeillant

Nicolas Lecompte 2021 – Châteaumeillant

(70% Gamay, 30% Pinot Noir) The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers finesse and delicacy. It expresses the aromas of crunchy strawberry, juicy raspberry, red currants, a touch of blackcurrant and crushed blueberry, as well as a fine spicy side (white pepper, liquorice, cumin) and menthol, associated with aromas of wild flowers and rose petals. On the palate, the wine offers a fruity, juicy texture, with a spicy and warm finish, with notes of sweet spices (cloves, a very fine touch of cinnamon). We also find notes of ripe strawberry, fresh and roasted red cherry, red currants, a touch of red plum and blackcurrant (which leans slightly towards the creamy side of crème de cassis), associated with floral notes of peony and dried rose petals. The tannins are delicate, with a fine texture. The acidity is soft, but present. A wine of suppleness and gourmandise
