Montrevetrano 2009 – Campania IGT

A nice elegant, velvety and rich nose, which offers depth, density, multilayers and a nice graphite notes of the grain. It expresses notes of dry blackberry, forest flor and small notes of fairly ripe small red fruits associated with touches of dry cherry, discreet/delicate hints of purple plum as well as discreet hints of tobacco box, clove and almost a discreet hint of badiane in the background and delicate sweet spices. The palate is fruity, very discreetly tight and offers juiciness, minerality, a tangy structure, tension, precision, a nice aerial side in its substance and its controlled power with a certain subtlety. A beautiful affirmed identity! The palate expresses notes of fairly ripe purple plum, dried raspberry and more slightly – fairly ripe small red fruits, associated with touches of undergrowth, tobacco box, almost humus as well as fine hints of fresh truffle, tonka bean, with delicate hints of black olive and a subtle hint of sweet spices. The tannins are elegant, supple, delicate, polished. A nice finish with chewiness and delicacy and a beautiful end of the mouth. A melodious side on this finish. Depth and delicacy in its complexity. Nice power on the nose and on the palate. A very discreet hint of dried porcini mushrooms.
