Michel Chapoutier, Occultum Lapidem, 2015 Côtes du Roussillon Villages Latour-de-France

Michel Chapoutier, Occultum Lapidem, 2015 Côtes du Roussillon Villages Latour-de-France

Originally from the Rhôdanienne region, Mr. Chapoutier has scattered all over the world to discover new terroir, including Côtes du Roussillon. Occultum Lapidem, a blend of 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache and the rest of Carignan and Mourvèdre is refined to perfection. On the nose, there is a relationship between delicate berries, raspberries, blackberries, and a richer intensity of aromas such as coffee and graphite. The texture is round, but also has structured tannins and a superb touch of spice.
